The Well Woman Initiative
Founded by Aniedu Sifon Peace · Uyo, Nigeria · Gender Equality, Good Health & Well-Being
The Well Woman Initiative is a project dedicated to supporting women and girls across Nigeria who lack access to basic health care and information. In many communities, especially in rural areas, girls struggle to manage their periods with dignity, and women often face health challenges because they do not have the right facts or resources.
"We bridge these gaps by going directly into schools and neighbourhoods to host health workshops and distribute essential supplies like pads and hygiene kits. It's not just about giving things away; it's about breaking the silence around women's bodies and fighting the stigma that holds us back."
How we check them
Every funded changemaker reports through LegitGood. Payments release against milestones, and a milestone is only signed off when the evidence is in. Results that have not been verified are not counted here.
