Preshh BlossomGirls Initiative · Good Health and Well-being · Nigeria · 2026

Preshh BlossomGirls Initiative addresses the persistent challenges of menstrual poverty, poor reproductive health awareness, and limited access to education among adolescent girls in underserved Nigerian communities. Many girls miss school, suffer health risks, and experience stigma due to lack of menstrual hygiene products and accurate information. The initiative adopts a community-based, practical approach by providing menstrual health education, distributing disposable and reusable sanitary pads, and training girls to make reusable pads for long-term sustainability.

Health talks, confidence-building sessions, and safe-space discussions are integrated to promote self-esteem, bodily autonomy, and informed decision-making. The primary beneficiaries are girls aged 10–19 from low-income and rural communities, with indirect benefits extending to their families, schools, and communities. By combining education, skills training, and access to essential hygiene resources, Preshh BlossomGirls Initiative empowers girls to stay in school, protect their health, and thrive with dignity.
